Mend Collaborative presented at the National Organization for Victim Assistance

Mend Collaborative presented at the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA’s) 49th Annual Training Event “Power of Connection” in New Orleans attended by nearly 2,000 victim assistance professionals from around the world.

Mend Collaborative presented on “Survivors and Formerly Incarcerated Colleagues in the Field of Victim Offender Dialogue: The Mend Collaborative Model of Co-Facilitation.”

This healing centered work lives at the intersection of harm and justice. We understand the power of our model to have a transformative impact on the systems that are engaging with impacted communities and how survivors of all backgrounds, including the incarcerated, are provided access to support, healing, and victim services.

It is vital for us to bring our model into the national arena so that other states, advocates, agencies, and community based organizations can replicate the model we have uniquely begun to pioneer in California.
